For the last 25 years Hayward House and Cottage has been successfully running as a profitable B&B as well as a home for the Branston family.

There are currently B&B beds in the main house for six guests - ie 2 twins, 1 single and 1 ensuite double leaving 3 family bedrooms; hall, lounge/dining room, kitchen/breakfast room/sitting room, utility room with separate toilet facilities, outside studio.

The B&B business continues in the beautiful Hayward Cottage located behind the main house. This has beds for six guests i.e. 1 downstairs ensuite double/triple next to lounge, 2 twin bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms upstairs.

The guestbook boasts many glowing comments about the building and B&B staff.

If you were to purchase the House and continue running the B&B we would suggest the following room prices per night: (inc. breakfast)

House Rate:
Double ensuite £52 (taken as single £38)

Twin £44 (taken as single £32)  - Single £28

Cottage Rate:
Double/triple ensuite £60 Twin, £52 Double (taken as single £38)

Twin ensuite £44 (taken as single £32)

Trade
Since the expansion of Swindon, 85% of the business is from subcontractors, local families, Commercial salesmen and some tourists.

Local car giant Honda, have recommended Hayward House on their inhouse Accommodation Board List. Because of this, different stages of site construction
subcontractors will take over all the bedrooms and can stay for up to 10 weeks.

Hayward House has never been actively marketed and has never benefited from AA or RAC accreditation. Most guests come through word of mouth via companies working in the area and locally through personal recommendation.

The last 6 years of trading shows a profit after all all costs of over £10,000 per year.

If the B&B was marketed to it's full capacity we feel the business trade could be at least doubled.
